Bill is currently completing a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pathology in the University of Pittsburgh Neurobiology Department. Bill specializes in the development of novel model systems of neurodegeneration and is currently testing promising therapeutic interventions for diseases such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s Disease.
Bill attended the University of Michigan where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, completing his undergraduate thesis on the study of key aggregate prone proteins implicated in Alzheimer’s Disease. Upon graduation, Bill transitioned into a Research Associate role as the University of Rochester where, partnered with IONIS pharmaceuticals, he facilitated the translation of basic science research into clinical trials for novel therapeutics.
