Education and Experience

Vinitha brings a strong background in proteomics, genomics and immunology to her work at sciVelo. Vinitha was a consultant at Fourth River Solutions, a non-profit consulting group run by STEM professionals, using academic acumen to solve real-world business problems. In her PhD program at Carnegie Mellon University, Vinitha was trained in proteomics and developed a new reagent and improved methods for discovering biomarkers using immunoproteomics. This led to the establishment of collaborations in academia resulting in proteomics studies in a number of diseases, as well as commercial translation of the research done at Minden lab, Carnegie Mellon University. Vinitha is passionate about wellness and co-founded a university-wide program called YesPlus at Carnegie Mellon University to provide stress management tools for the community.
