The Center for Commercial Applications of Healthcare Data (CCA) and the Center for Machine Learning and Health (CMLH) are the two centers created by the Pittsburgh Health Data Alliance (PHDA), an unprecedented collaboration between Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh and UPMC to revolutionize healthcare and wellness by leveraging “big data.”
The mission of the CCA is to develop basic scientific, translational and clinical research into academic commercial translation projects, and ultimately commercial technologies, that benefit patients, investigators, the universities, the Pittsburgh region, and the broader healthcare community. sciVelo team members compose the CCA’s commercial translation architects, associates and program managers. We collaborate with our partners at the Innovation Institute, Office of Research, Office of Corporate Engagement, and UPMC Enterprises to bring innovative digital health solutions to life.
